Khartoum — The Ministry of Water Resources, Irrigation and Electricity and the United Nations Development Programmed (UNDP) is due to sign Sunday a funding agreement for installation of solar-powered irrigation pumps at the premises of the Ministry of International Cooperation at a cost of $ 25 million.
The project aims to bring solar-powered irrigation pumps instead of diesel and electricity’s pumps. The project will begin at the Northern State as a model and then be extended to other states of Sudan during five years.
